Human Rights Minister Attends NCIAVHR Closing Ceremony of ” Investigation Specificities into Human Rights Violations” Workshop

A workshop for assistant investigators of the Commission on “Investigation Specificities into Human Rights Violations” was concluded in the interim capital, Aden, with the attendance of Mr. Ahmed Arman, the Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights.

Participants discussed the right to investigate human rights violations and the specificity of their investigation, which is evidence and linking cases involving similar acts.

The workshop, which was held over two days at the Commission’s headquarters, and in which 9 assistant investigators participated, addressed the concept of the individual and collective victim/s, and the victim’s role, status, and participation in the investigation.

The workshop also dealt with the responsibility of prosecuting the perpetrators of violations, the right to remedy and reparation, and the role of the Commission’s files in preparing for trials and redress for the victims.
