NCIAVHR Concludes the Periodic Meeting with Field Monitors

On Wednesday, the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) concluded the periodic meeting with its field monitors in the interim capital, Aden, in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR).

The meeting included a training workshop on the privacy of documentation and accountability in human rights issues, and a number of training topics presented by the legal expert, Dr. Mohammed Jamil Naji, and the Commission member, Dr. Dhia Muhairz.

40 male and female field monitors of the Commission from all governorates of the Republic participated in the meeting and training workshops, over a period of 6 days, from July 28 to August 2.

The members and the technical staff of the Commission also held extensive evaluation meetings with field monitors, during which they discussed the recent difficulties and challenges monitors face in the field and ways to address them.

The event was attended by the Director of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Yemen, Mr. Renaud Detalle, and the Chairman and members of the Commission.
