NCIAVHR Meets the Yemeni Ambassador to Geneva

The Chairperson and members of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations to Human Rights (“NCIAVHR”) met with the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Yemen to the European Headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva, Dr. Ali Mohammed Mujawar.
In the meeting, the Commission reviewed the findings of its visit to Geneva to participate in the event of the 51st session of the Human Rights Council, and the meetings and activities it carried out on the sidelines of the session.
The Commission’s Chairperson, Judge Ahmed Saeed Al-Muflihi, honored the role of the Yemeni embassy represented by Dr. Ali Mujawar in the Human Rights Council and the efforts he is making in representing our country at the Council, and facilitating the work of the Commission in Geneva.
For his part, Dr. Ali Mujawar expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Commission as a national mechanism to investigate allegations of human rights violations, which, during the period since its establishment until today, has been able to document violations committed against Yemenis in all governorates of the Republic.
