NCIAVHR Holds a Periodic Meeting with Field Monitors

The National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR), in the interim capital, A international humanitarian law violationsden, held its periodic meeting with its field monitors working in all governorates of the Republic.

In the meeting, which was held from 13-15 March, the efforts of monitors during the last period in documentation and monitoring, the nature of their work in documentation and field investigation, the particularities of evidence collection, and the type of violations were discussed.

Moreover, Dr. Taher Boumedra, the Commission’s international expert advisor, reviewed recent evidence of international humanitarian law violations and the international standards adopted in documenting violations.

The periodic meeting also witnessed separate evaluation sessions that brought together the supervising members of the field monitors team. It also presented some proposals to improve the monitoring and documentation process, collect information, and reduce the impact of challenges.
