NCIAVHR Holds Hearing for Victims of Different Violations in Al-Dhalea Governorate

On Friday, members of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) held a hearing for a number of victims of human rights violations in Al-Dhalea governorate.
The hearing, which came within the framework of the field visit carried out by the Commission to the governorate, aimed to listen directly to the complaints of the victims and their demands related to guarantees for the protection of human rights and the application of fairness and justice mechanisms.
During the hearing, the Commission’s team listened to the testimony of over (15) victims of different types of violations, including murder, assault on physical integrity, looting of property, detention, and other violations related to international humanitarian law and human rights law.
In the hearing session, the team recorded the circumstances of each incident and its impact on the rights of individual victims of the violation, and their most important legal demands guaranteed in accordance with national law and Yemen’s international obligations towards the protection and promotion of human rights.
