NCIAVHR Meets the Ambassador of Yemen in Geneva

The National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) today met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Geneva and its Permanent Representative to the European headquarters of the United Nations, Dr. Ali Mohammed Mujawar.
During the meeting, the outcomes of the Commission’s visits to Geneva to participate in the 54th session of the Human Rights Council and the meetings and activities it conducted on the sidelines of the session were reviewed.
Dr. Ali Mujawar expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Commission as a national mechanism for investigating allegations of human rights violations, and its continuous efforts in documenting and investigating the violations committed against Yemenis in all governorates of the Republic.
In turn, Judge Ahmed Al-Muflehi, the Chairman of the Commission, praised the role of our embassy in the Human Rights Council, which comes within the framework of the state’s orientations and its continuous efforts to establish a state of law and institutions, where promoting and protecting human rights is a strategic choice for it.
