National Commission to Investigate Presents Findings of Its Fourteenth Report to Arab Group Ambassadors in Geneva

The National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights met with ambassadors and representatives of Arab Group diplomatic missions in Geneva to present the key findings of its fourteenth periodic report. They also discussed recent developments in the human rights situation in Yemen and the challenges facing monitoring and investigations as the conflict spreads and violations increase.

During the meeting, the Commission’s Chair, Judge Ahmed Saeed Al-Muflahi, outlined the report’s main monitoring and investigation findings, the challenges encountered by the Commission’s teams, and its principal recommendations.

The meeting also addressed developments in Yemen’s human rights situation, including the rise in violations as the armed conflict has expanded and the impact on civilians. These developments place growing demands on the Commission to continue its field investigations and reach victims and the sites of alleged violations.

For their part, the Arab ambassadors and diplomatic representatives affirmed that they follow the Commission’s work and reports. They emphasized the importance of its role in monitoring and investigating violations and documenting victims’ rights, and expressed their continued support for its efforts to carry out its mandate professionally and effectively.
