NCIAVHR Holds Panel Discussion on its 12th Report at the Human Rights Council in Geneva

Today, the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) held a panel discussion on the latest human rights developments in Yemen and its 12th periodic report at the United Nations Palace in Geneva.
During the discussion, the Chairman of the Commission, Judge Ahmed Al-Maflahi, outlined recent developments in Yemen’s human rights situation and highlighted the key findings of the 12th report, which was issued at the beginning of September.
The discussion, held on the sidelines of the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, included participation from representatives of the European Union and Arab countries’ embassies and diplomatic missions, local and international civil society representatives, human rights activists, and the media.
Judge Al-Maflahi reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to continuing its work and its dedication to reaching all victims across Yemen’s governorates, ensuring justice and accountability without impunity.
Members of the Commission presented statistics from the 12th report, detailing key areas of investigation and the outcomes of field visits conducted by the Commission’s teams to several Yemeni governorates.
Participants in the seminar offered comments and feedback urging the international community to continue its cooperation with the National Commission, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts in the areas of transitional justice, accountability, and reducing human rights violations.
