NCIAVHR Researchers and Investigators Concludes Training in Jordan

Researchers and investigators of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR), on Wednesday, concluded a training program in the Jordanian capital, Amman, implemented by the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) in cooperation with the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley.
(49) Researchers and field investigators of the Commission learned from the training program, which focused for 4 days on “the Use of Technology and open sources in Documenting and Investigating Violations of International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law”.
While the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) devoted the fifth and sixth days of the training program to sessions for mental health and psychosocial support for the Commission staff.
The training program, launched last Thursday with the participation of the Vice-Chairman and members of the Commission, addressed the skills of tracking open-source content and ensuring its credibility while complying with legal requirements and ethical standards.
